Bookings, Cancellations & Payment
You must phone the Midlander to cancel your reservation. Cancellation requests must be received at least 24 hours prior to check-in (2pm) otherwise the first nights’ tariff will be charged as a cancellation fee.
If you have booked through a third party (i.e. Booking.com, Expedia, wotif, hotels.com, lastminute, travel agent, etc), you need to contact them to cancel your booking.
Generally, no, unless there is a special event or group booking which requires a deposit to make the booking. This will be stipulated in the terms and conditions of the booking.
Yes – a valid credit card will be required to make a booking.
Payment is required prior to or upon arrival. We accept Mastercard, Visa, AMEX and cash. There is no surcharge on AMEX.
We take bookings for room types and cannot guarantee a specific room number as it will depend on several factors such as availability and accommodating other bookings.
No, our policy is no refund for early departure.
Motel Facilities & Parking
There is free wifi available throughout the entire property. It is NBN speed.
There is a pool opposite reception with sun lounges, tables and chairs. Pool towels are not supplied.
There is a coin-operated washer and dryer. The washer takes 5x $1 coins per load. The dryer takes 3x $1 coins for one hour. Washing powder also provided.
A light daily service is offered to all rooms. Stays of six nights or more are offered a full service with linen change mid-stay.
Most rooms have covered parking and some have higher clearance. If you have specific parking needs, please contact us prior to arrival.
Each room has one parking space assigned, which is located off-street near the front of the room. You do not need to reserve parking.
There is no provision on site for large vehicles or visitor parking, however, there is safe street parking in front of the motel. Please give us a call to confirm parking arrangements for additional vehicles and large vehicles/trailers.
Room Facilities
Yes, we have Foxtel Business iQ which includes all of the sports channels, movie channels, Video On Demand and casting.
Our Studio Queen and Two Bedroom Apartments have full kitchenettes that include a stove top. All rooms have a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, crockery, cutlery and glassware for the maximum number of occupants.
Yes, all rooms contain a hairdryer.
Yes, all rooms have reverse-cycle split system air conditioning.
Food & Drink
Yes, a limited breakfast menu is available during weekdays only. Alternatively, we are walking distance to cafes, restaurants, fast food outlets and bakeries.
No, however we are walking distance from several pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaway options. Refer to the Eat & Drink page for a list of options. [Include link to Eat & Drink page]
No, however alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are available for purchase from Reception.
The only rooms that have a stovetop are the Studio Queen and Two Bedroom Apartments. All other rooms contain a microwave and toaster.

We are only a block from the main street in Emerald.
We are only a 6km drive from the Emerald Airport.
We are less than 2km from the Emerald Hospital.

Yes, but only certain rooms.
Two Bedroom Apartment – Pet Friendly and the Twin Room Acessible. All of our other rooms are NOT pet friendly.

Yes, a $50 pet cleaning fee will be added to your reservation.
Smoking is not permitted inside the rooms. There are outdoor seating options with ashtrays for smoking.
- Check-in is from 2pm until 7pm on weekdays and from 2pm until 6pm on Sat and Sun, when our office closes. If you are arriving outside office hours you must contact us to arrange for a late check-in.
- Check-out is by 10am. Late check-out may be offered subject to availability and at a fee.
Yes, all rooms are ground floor.
Yes, we have two queen accessible rooms that include a fully accessible bathroom.
Some rooms open onto a shared patio. All rooms open onto our covered parking area where there is seating and ashtrays. There are a few outdoor common areas throughout the property. The Two Bedroom Apartments have private covered patios.
The Tesla charging stations are available to paying guests free-of-charge if charging during daylight hours or a $10 fee if charging overnight. Please advise if you wish to use this prior to arrival. If you are not a guest of the Midlander, a fee will apply.
